In this role, you will support students in developing the functional skills needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. This position is ideal for a therapist who values collaboration and is committed to helping children reach their full potential through individualized care. Responsibilities Evaluate students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional performance skills Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services Adapt classroom environments and recommend assistive equipment as needed Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation Skills Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Ability to assess and address sensory and motor-based challenges Effective documentation and organizational abilities Knowledge of school-based therapy models and best practices Creative problem-solving and adaptability in a school setting Qualifications Active California Occupational Therapist license NBCOT certification required School-based experience preferred but not required Understanding of IEP processes and educational regulations Education Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field Experience Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred New graduates with fieldwork experience encouraged to apply Benefits (Sunbelt Staffing) Competitive weekly compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance plans 401(k) retirement savings plan Professional licensing assistance Travel stipends for eligible candidates Ongoing support from a dedicated Sunbelt recruiter Work Hours 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM 37.5 hours per week Compensation for this position ranges from $38.00 to $70.00.
