Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in local elementary schools while advancing your career as a part-time Occupational Therapist (OTR). In this rewarding contract opportunity, you'll work 24 hours each week across three days, supporting young learners and helping them reach important developmental goals. You'll serve elementary school sites in a supportive educational setting near Folsom, CA. We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled OT with school-based experience and a passion for empowering students. This position also involves supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), so strong leadership and communication abilities are essential.
Key Qualifications:
Current OT licensure in California Experience delivering occupational therapy services in school settings Confidence and competence in supervising and mentoring a COTA Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation Strong organizational and time management skills Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude toward student development
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary students Provide direct OT interventions and monitor student progress Oversee and guide the daily work of a COTA, ensuring best practices Attend IEP meetings and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams Complete required evaluations, progress reports, and documentation accurately and timely Communicate therapy goals and strategies to teachers and families Adapt therapy activities to promote inclusion and accessibility Picture yourself making a significant difference in the lives of children, partnering with dedicated educators, and growing as a leader.
