Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting students throughout the academic year. With a full-time schedule, you'll collaborate with dedicated professionals to help students reach their potential and successfully participate in their educational environments. This role spans from August 2026 to June 2027, giving you a chance to contribute meaningfully across multiple school sites in the area.
Key Qualifications:
Current CCA OT License required Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Strong understanding of pediatric development and sensory processing Effective communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel between school sites as needed Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and related regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students in compliance with their IEPs Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' motor, sensory, and adaptive needs Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to adapt learning environments and instructional techniques Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary teams Support staff through in-service presentations and ongoing consultation This role offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week during the school year, creating the structure needed for meaningful therapeutic relationships.
