Occupational Therapist Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing patient-centered care, evaluating and treating patients with a variety of conditions, and developing and implementing customized treatment plans. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in occupational therapy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of conditions, including neurological and orthopedic injuries, cognitive deficits, and developmental disorders. Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Communicate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and family members regarding patient progress and treatment plans. Participate in patient education and promote healthy lifestyle habits. Recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to improve patient function and independence. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in occupational therapy and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current state license to practice Occupational Therapy. 2+ years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software.
