This full-time opportunity is ideal for a passionate Occupational Therapist eager to make a difference in a supportive, collaborative school environment. You will work closely with educators, families, and students, leveraging your expertise to assess, plan, and deliver effective therapy services that enable success in and out of the classroom.
Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in California A minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as a school-based OT Strong understanding of elementary student development and educational needs Proficient in evaluations, IEP participation, and development of tailored treatment plans Comfortable collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and families Effective communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students in group and individual settings Collaborate with educators, administrators, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments and monitor progress toward therapy and educational goals Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills for classroom participation Maintain thorough, timely documentation and contribute to progress reporting Offer strategies and recommendations for classroom modifications or accommodations Why choose this opportunity?
