Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students by leveraging your expertise in school-based occupational therapy. In this position, you'll provide impactful services for learners while working 0.6 FTE (approximately 21-24 hours each week) across three days. This assignment runs through the 2026-2027 academic year, offering a consistent and meaningful workplace.
Key Qualifications:
Valid credentials as a licensed Occupational Therapist Previous experience working in a school environment Comprehensive understanding of the OT process within an educational setting, including evaluation, intervention, and progress monitoring Strong communication with students, staff, and families Effective time management and organizational abilities Ability to collaborate flexibly with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Conduct OT assessments and re-evaluations as required to determine student needs Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in compliance with educational teams Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings Offer guidance and support to educators and families regarding student strategies and accommodations Adapt interventions to meet diverse student backgrounds and developmental levels Participate in school meetings and ongoing professional development activities Experience the fulfillment of helping students succeed in their school environment while maintaining a healthy work-life balance with a part-time schedule.
