Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in California Experience working within school settings preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and organizational abilities Adaptability and a collaborative spirit when working with multidisciplinary teams Compassionate, patient, and committed to student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students according to their IEPs Assess, document, and monitor student progress using standardized protocols Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student accommodations and goals Contribute to IEP meetings, providing clinical recommendations for appropriate accommodations or modifications Develop individualized and group therapy plans tailored to student needs Provide strategies and resources for teachers to implement in the classroom Maintain thorough treatment documentation and adhere to all legal, ethical, and district guidelines Working as a contracted OT in a school environment offers the opportunity to impact lives while enjoying variety and professional growth.
