Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in students' lives as an in-person Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. Serving districts in the Fairfield and Vacaville areas just outside Napa, CA, you'll play a crucial role supporting children and youth as they work toward greater independence and success within the educational environment.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT licensure in California Previous pediatric, school-based, or educational occupational therapy experience highly preferred Solid understanding of IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring Exceptional communication skills with students, families, and educational teams Strong organization, time management, and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of students referred for OT services Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions tailored to each student's needs in alignment with their IEP goals Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other specialists to promote inclusive practices and facilitate student participation Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress, and communication in accordance with district policies Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for accommodation and support Educate school staff and families on best practices for student success inside and outside the classroom Working as a contract OT in this dynamic school-based setting, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with students of diverse backgrounds, develop your professional skills, and contribute to a collaborative educational community.
