Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Take the next step in your occupational therapy career with a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting elementary schools in the Rancho Cordova area. As a contract OTR, you'll work with young students, collaborate with educators, and directly impact children's development in a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with school-based experience who thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and enjoys the flexibility of a three-day workweek. You'll assist students in reaching their fullest potential while playing a key role in program oversight and mentorship.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR) licensure in California Experience working in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred Ability to supervise and provide guidance for COTAs Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for supporting children's growth and unique learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students across elementary school sites Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement student-centered intervention plans Conduct assessments, write reports, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational standards Oversee and support a COTA, ensuring quality and consistency of therapy services Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expert insights and celebrating student progress Contribute to ongoing program development, staying current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy Joining this contract position means enjoying a well-balanced, part-time schedule—24 hours per week across three days—that allows for personal and professional flexibility.
