Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working alongside passionate educators and students by providing occupational therapy services in an engaging high school and post-secondary environment. This full-time, contract role runs from August 12 to June 5th, with the potential for future renewal. You'll collaborate closely with another occupational therapist, sharing caseloads and expertise to support program goals. Your work will take place on-site, fully immersed in the school community with a 35-hour work week.
Key Qualifications:
Current state licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist required Prior experience in school-based or adolescent settings preferred Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and students Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse learning and developmental needs Ready to work in-person with high school and post-secondary aged students Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in educational activities
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services as part of IEP teams Evaluate student needs and develop individualized therapeutic intervention plans Support skill development for greater participation in learning and daily living Collaborate regularly with another OT to coordinate and maximize student outcomes Maintain documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and best practice standards Offer training, resources, and support to teachers and caregivers as needed Working in this supportive setting not only means contributing to students' growth—you'll also develop professionally through close partnership with another OT and regular exposure to a variety of cases.
