Qualifications:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California Previous experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting is highly desirable Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside educators, school staff, and families Familiarity with developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and conducting relevant assessments Compassion, creativity, and patience when working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluate students to determine OT needs and eligibility for school-based services Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student goals and IEP objectives Provide direct occupational therapy interventions in accordance with best practices Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt classroom activities and environments Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements Communicate progress and recommendations to parents, teachers, and school administrators This role grants you the flexibility of contributing meaningfully to students' growth while fitting seamlessly with your existing commitments.
