Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic part-time opportunity working with elementary-aged students, where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist can make a meaningful difference each day. This contract position offers a flexible three-day workweek (24 hours total) and a chance to collaborate in a supportive, school-based environment near Rocklin, CA. As an OT in this role, you will deliver targeted interventions that support students' growth and maximize their abilities in the classroom. In addition to providing direct therapy services, you'll also oversee and mentor a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), fostering professional development while ensuring high-quality, coordinated care for students. Your skills will be invaluable in supporting diverse learning needs across elementary school settings.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active CA Occupational Therapy license Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities Comfortable supervising and providing guidance to a COTA Ability to adapt interventions to diverse elementary student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individual treatment plans for elementary school students Implement interventions addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation skills Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring compliance with supervision requirements and best practices Participate in IEP meetings and develop student-centered goals Imagine the satisfaction of shaping students' futures and growing in your professional role.
