Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity supporting students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working alongside an engaged, collaborative educational community. Your expertise in occupational therapy will provide vital services to approximately 19 students, helping them achieve their fullest potential in an inclusive academic setting. The assignment begins the week of August 17, 2026, and extends through the week of May 28, 2027, aligning with the school's academic calendar. You'll maintain a consistent schedule of three days each week, with 6.5-hour shifts—totaling approximately 19.5 hours per week. All services will be provided onsite at a single, centrally located campus, minimizing travel and allowing you to focus your energy on student care.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Valid California Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license Previous experience supporting students in school-based environments Strong understanding of IEPs, goal writing, and documentation Excellent communication and collaboration skills Compassionate and culturally responsive approach with diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions targeting motor skills, sensory processing, and functional development Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to tailor support strategies Assess, develop, and monitor IEP goals and related documentation Provide insights and recommendations for classroom accommodations Track progress and adjust interventions as needed to maximize student growth If you're eager to lend your occupational therapy skills to an impactful school environment, we invite you to apply for this contract position.
