Job Description

Job Overview EMIT Learning is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time, onsite position in San Miguel, CA, for the 2026-2027 school year.

CA OT License Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement, focusing on areas such as ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), sensory processing, motor skills, and functional independence. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each student's unique needs, goals, and educational objectives. Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, physical therapists, parents, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure holistic support. Support students with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders by applying evidence-based practices tailored to their specific needs. Qualifications Valid license or certification as a School Occupational Therapist or equivalent credential in your region. Proven experience working with students with disabilities in educational settings; experience with autism spectrum disorders support is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles, including pediatric occupational therapy assessments and treatment plan development. Familiarity with medical documentation standards, clinical documentation practices, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care.
