Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' lives as a full-time Occupational Therapist working in a school-based setting. This contract position begins in August 2026 and continues through early June 2027, offering a fulfilling school year supporting children and adolescents as they achieve their educational and developmental goals. Your expertise in occupational therapy will serve a caseload of at least 40 students, spread across multiple school sites. This onsite-only role (no virtual or remote options) requires adaptability, skillful time management, and a passion for helping students succeed in their academic environments.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Valid California Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience in school-based OT preferred Ability to work with diverse caseloads, handling multiple age groups and abilities Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, and families Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and set targeted goals for students Provide individual and group occupational therapy interventions, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive strategies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective classroom modifications and supports Monitor, document, and report student progress while adapting approaches as needed Travel between assigned campuses within the district as part of daily duties This role provides the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of young learners in a dynamic school community.
