Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time opportunity providing Occupational Therapy services in a dynamic educational setting near Simi Valley, CA. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in students' lives throughout the school year, supporting learners across several campuses. This is an onsite-only role—teletherapy or remote options are not available.
Key Qualifications:
Valid California Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) required Previous experience working in school-based OT preferred Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of at least 40 students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with diverse teams, including educators, families, and other support staff Commitment to the full academic year's contract duration (August to June)
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy assessments and direct interventions aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Serve multiple school sites within the district, providing consistent onsite support for students and staff Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as a key member of the student support team Collaborate with teachers and families to recommend strategies and adaptations that foster student independence and participation Monitor and adjust therapy plans based on student progress and evolving needs
