Job Description

SCHOOL-BASED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
(OT)Full-Time | In-Person | Antioch, CA
POSITION OVERVIEW
VerbaCare Inc. is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide in-person occupational therapy services to students in a school district . This is a full-time, in-person position for the full school year. The OT will work directly with students and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school administrators, families, and other members of the educational team to support student participation and progress.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting. Develop and implement appropriate therapy goals and intervention strategies based on student needs and IEP requirements. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of student goals. Complete required evaluations, assessments, progress reports, and service documentation. Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as appropriate. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, instructional aides, administrators, and families. Support students with fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, self-care, classroom participation, and other functional needs as appropriate. Provide consultation and recommendations to school staff to support student success in the educational environment. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and professional requirements. Follow school district policies, procedures, and special education service requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification required for California practice. Current California Occupational Therapist license . Experience working with children or adolescents preferred. Previous school-based occupational therapy experience preferred. Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services preferred. Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team. Must be available to provide services in person in Antioch, CA .
COMPENSATION
- $77.00 PER
HOUR - W-2
Base Pay:
$77.00/hour on W-2
Estimated School-Year Earnings:
Approximately $110,000 , based on the anticipated school-year assignment schedule
Benefits:
Eligible benefits are available in addition to hourly compensation. Actual annual earnings will depend on the applicable school calendar, scheduled workdays, and the employee's actual hours worked.
