Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as an onsite Occupational Therapist supporting students throughout the full school year in a vibrant educational setting near Watsonville and Monterey, CA. This full-time, contract role is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to make an impact while collaborating with educators and families to foster student success. The ideal candidate will have experience working as an OT within school environments, bringing compassion, adaptability, and strong communication skills to help students achieve their educational and developmental goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California Previous experience providing OT services in a school setting preferred Proficiency with IEP processes and school documentation Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and strategies for a diverse student population Excellent problem-solving, organization, and interpersonal abilities Comfortable working onsite for the full academic year
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Conduct assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective intervention plans Support student participation and performance in classroom activities, adapting materials or environments as needed Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators Attend IEP and team meetings, actively contributing expertise to inform student support plans Deliver consultative support and training to school staff regarding OT strategies and best practices Working onsite as an Occupational Therapist means building strong relationships, witnessing students' growth firsthand, and making a lasting difference in their lives.
