Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a vibrant school-based environment as a full-time Occupational Therapist in the Whittier, CA area. This contract position runs from August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers the diverse experience of working with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Assignments may vary and could include itinerant roles, giving you the chance to collaborate across multiple campuses and broaden your professional skillset. As a valued OT professional in this role, you'll help students access their education by delivering tailored occupational therapy services and collaborating closely with educators and families. Your background working with school-aged children will help you carry out assessments, support IEP development, and implement effective interventions. This is an onsite-only position, offering hands-on interaction and engagement within the school community.
Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of California Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required Demonstrated experience or knowledge of OT within educational settings Strong grasp of educational terminology, standardized assessments, and the public-school Special Education process Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with limited guidance Skill in balancing varying caseloads and working across different grade levels (K-12) Familiarity with CDE guidelines for school-based OT services (resource provided for interview prep)
