Job Description

Job Summary As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals by helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will work collaboratively with patients across various settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and schools. Your expertise will be essential in developing personalized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient, particularly those with disabilities, autism, or geriatric concerns. Join us in making a meaningful impact on the lives of others! What you'll do Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance daily living skills and overall well-being. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-sufficiency. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective discharge planning and case management. Provide therapy services in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facilities. Utilize your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to inform treatment strategies. Engage in early intervention programs for pediatric patients to support their developmental milestones. Work closely with individuals with autism and other disabilities to tailor therapeutic approaches that meet their specific challenges. Document patient progress and modify care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Basic qualifications Valid Occupational Therapy license in your state of practice. Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge. Preferred qualifications Experience working in acute care settings or intensive care units (ICU). Familiarity with speech therapy techniques as part of a comprehensive treatment approach. Previous experience in geriatrics or pediatrics is highly desirable. Proven ability to create effective care plans and engage in case management processes.
