Healthcare is partnering with a school district in Delta, CO school district to hire a qualified in-person Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with one of the top districts in the area, providing services to children of all ages. Generally, the OT will address motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions that impact a student's academics, self-care skills, play, and social participation, as well as transitional skills. This is a fantastic district with small caseloads and lots of support, and located in a stunning part of the Colorado mountains.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students achieve their academic goals.
- Screen and evaluate students referred to Occupational Therapy.
- Appropriately collect data, report findings.
- Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards.
- The OT will provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to improve participation and progress toward educational goals.
- Participate on a collaborative team and maintain clear communication with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student performance.
REQUIREMENTS
Occupational Therapist, School Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in [STATE] Initial certification through NBCOT Clear, articulate communication skills Ability to explain results to a varied audience Candidates with previous school experience a plus! Completion of a criminal record and background check
