Job Description

Certified Hand Therapist / Occupational Therapist We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist with experience or interest in upper extremity rehabilitation to join our growing hand therapy team. This outpatient role focuses on evaluation and treatment of patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, splint fabrication, wound management, and functional recovery. The ideal candidate is collaborative, clinically driven, and passionate about delivering individualized patient care in a highly specialized orthopedic setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for upper extremity conditions Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals, patient history, and clinical findings Deliver evidence-based interventions including: Manual therapy Therapeutic exercise and functional activities Neuromuscular re-education Orthotic fabrication and modification Wound care management Patient and caregiver education Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as appropriate Establish functional goals and complete timely documentation within the medical record Educate patients on home exercise programs and continued self-management strategies Coordinate discharge planning and referrals when indicated Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company safety standards Work collaboratively with physicians, therapy staff, and support personnel to optimize patient outcomes Manage a caseload that may include complex orthopedic and post-operative diagnoses Qualifications Licensed Occupational Therapist Experience in hand therapy or orthopedic rehabilitation preferred Strong understanding of upper extremity anatomy and biomechanics Experience with splinting/orthotic fabrication preferred Skilled in patient communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning Self-motivated with strong organizational and teamwork skills CHT credential welcomed but not required Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay: $35-$50/hour Flexible scheduling options including: Full-time Part-time PRN 4-day work week / 10-hour shift opportunities, or flexible schedule One-on-one patient scheduling model Therapy tech support available Collaborative therapy team with 20+ Occupational Therapists / Hand Therapists including a large population of Certified Hand Therapists Direct access to and collaboration with 10+ upper extremity surgeons Multiple clinic locations available Continuing education support, including stipend and paid CEU time for eligible employees Opportunities for mentorship, teaching, and professional growth Benefits Include Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Company-paid life and long-term disability insurance Optional supplemental insurance plans Retirement plan with profit-sharing eligibility after one year of service
