Beacon Services of Connecticut provides home-based pediatric services for infants, toddlers, and children from birth to three years of age. Our interdisciplinary teams work together to support families throughout the state of Connecticut using high quality therapy services based upon evidenced-based practices.
Our Occupational Therapists deliver intervention to families where they live by supporting the evaluation of young children's current abilities using developmental and motor assessments. Clinicians interpret evaluation results, work as part of a team to develop individualized plans and use evidence-based intervention to facilitate children's participation within the home and community. Clinicians also support the transition from community to school services.
Qualifications
Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
Some experience in pediatric intervention preferred
Current Licensure by relevant state board or agency
Other Desirable Skills and Characteristics
Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and converse with families
Strong organizational skills to support case management duties
A teamwork mindset to collaborate with other clinicians
A willingness to learn and grow

Working Conditions
