Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist eager to make a meaningful difference in a supportive, small school setting. This contract role offers immediate onsite employment in a private educational environment with a total enrollment of approximately 70 students. You'll work closely with a manageable caseload of 8-9 students, allowing you to provide focused and personalized care. With a weekly commitment of 32.5 hours, you'll help students reach their fullest potential through individual and group interventions. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, with confirmed coverage for Extended School Year (ESY) services—and the possibility for renewal.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with relevant school or healthcare experience Background in school-based, clinical, or home health OT services Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams Ability to manage and prioritize a small caseload efficientlyRole Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students ages 5-21 with diverse needs Conduct assessments, document progress, and contribute to IEP meetings Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create and adapt interventions Promote students' participation in academic and daily living activities Track outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed This position will let you thrive in a close-knit school environment, providing you the chance to make an immediate impact—while enjoying a predictable, steady schedule.
