Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact as a Registered Behavior Technician by supporting a middle school student in a one-on-one setting for the remainder of the school year. This full-time contract role offers the chance to provide meaningful behavioral support to a student with autism who is exhibiting challenging behaviors, including eloping and inappropriate touching, potentially linked to trauma. The ideal candidate brings experience and a trauma-informed approach to behavioral intervention, ensuring compassionate and effective support in a school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Previous experience working with middle or high school students with autism Demonstrated ability to implement trauma-informed care Skilled in addressing challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism Strong communication skills for collaborative teamwork Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
Role Expectations:
Provide one-on-one behavioral support to a middle school student in a school setting Implement and track individualized behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of school staff and Behavior Analysts Address behaviors such as eloping and inappropriate touching with proactive, trauma-informed interventions Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of progress Collaborate closely with special education staff and other support personnel Uphold a safe and positive learning environment for the student and their peers Benefits include the opportunity to work a consistent weekday schedule (Monday through Friday, 32-37.5 hours weekly) and the potential for summer program (ESY) involvement, pending final confirmation.
