Full-Time, Part-Time, Hourly, & Fee-for-Service ______________________________________________________________________ About TheraCare TheraCare has been delivering high-quality Early Intervention services throughout Connecticut for over 30 years. Our focus is on helping children from birth to 3 years old reach their developmental milestones in natural environments. We are currently seeking Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our compassionate and collaborative early intervention team. Position Overview As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide therapy services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays. Therapy sessions are conducted in the child's home or community settings with a strong emphasis on family involvement and developmental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to children ages 0-3.
  • Complete evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IFSPs.
  • Coach caregivers to support functional skill development during daily routines.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with CT Early Intervention standards.
  • Participate in IFSP meetings and collaborate with other professionals.
  • Monitor progress and update treatment plans as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Current CT license and registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Pediatric or early childhood experience preferred.
  • Understanding of family-centered and developmental approaches.
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation to provide services across assigned area.
Physical Requirements:
  • Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer).
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Rates are determined based on a combination of factors such as experience level, assignment location, service setting, and applicable program guidelines.
