In this role, you will evaluate patients in their homes, assess their functional abilities, safety, and independence with daily activities, and develop individualized treatment plans to help them achieve their goals. You will work with a diverse patient population, including post-operative joint replacement patients, individuals with neurological conditions, cardiac and pulmonary diagnoses, oncology patients, and those experiencing functional limitations due to illness or injury. Occupational therapists play a vital role in helping patients safely manage activities of daily living, improve strength and endurance, adapt to physical limitations, and remain independent in their own homes. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members, while educating patients and caregivers to support successful outcomes.
