Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity supporting early intervention and elementary students as a full-time Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. This rewarding position offers you the chance to collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster growth and independence in young learners.

Essential Skills and Background:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT license in Delaware (or eligibility to obtain before start date) Experience working with pediatric populations in school or early intervention settings strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

Provide evaluation, intervention, and therapy services to students in early intervention and elementary grade levels Develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to goal-setting for students with diverse learning and developmental needs Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and legal guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and parent conferences as needed Adapt and implement evidence-based strategies to support student participation and success in daily classroom and school activities Educate teachers and families on strategies and tools to enhance student progress
