Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to support an elementary school caseload with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This contract position is based in Newark, DE, and requires an active Delaware OT license. Responsibilities include providing direct occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs, particularly those on the ASD spectrum. The role involves developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, collaborating closely with educators, families, and other school professionals to support student progress. Monitoring student performance and documenting therapies in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines will be essential.
Key qualifications and experience desired:
Current Delaware Occupational Therapy license Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with elementary students Familiarity with ASD and the ability to tailor interventions accordingly Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Ability to maintain detailed documentation and comply with school policies
