Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting K-6th grade students as a part-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. Key qualifications and desired experience:
Valid Delaware Occupational Therapist license required Demonstrated experience providing OT services in school settings, especially with K-6th students Strong understanding of IEP process and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy Ability to work independently and coordinate efficiently with educators and families Effective communicator, collaborative mindset, and organizational skills Role responsibilities: Deliver two full days of direct OT services to elementary-aged students, addressing developmental, sensory, and functional needs Reserve a half day each week for conducting assessments, attending meetings, and participating in multidisciplinary team discussions Evaluate students' abilities and develop targeted intervention plans to support academic participation and daily activities Maintain clear, accurate records and progress notes in compliance with all regulatory requirements Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure strategies are integrated into the classroom and at home Contribute to ongoing professional development, sharing and implementing evidence-based practices This part-time schedule offers work-life balance and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while honing your skills in a positive, collaborative environment.
