Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year as a dedicated Occupational Therapist on a full-time contract, serving a supportive district located near Brooksville, FL. This role offers the unique opportunity to impact students' development across multiple schools while the district prioritizes assignments within close proximity to minimize travel. You'll play a key role in enhancing the well-being and learning potential of students throughout the academic year, beginning the first week of August and continuing through the end of May.
Key Qualifications:
Active state licensure and credentials in Occupational Therapy Experience in school-based OT settings required; experience with home health or healthcare a plus Skills in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Leadership capability, as you will supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities Adaptability to work district-wide with flexibility in daily assignments
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group OT services to meet students' IEP goals Support students' participation in classroom and school activities by addressing fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills Supervise and guide a COTA, ensuring quality and compliance in therapy delivery Travel between schools as assigned, with the district making efforts to keep your caseload geographically convenient Maintain accurate, timely records and participate in IEP meetings Educate staff and families on OT strategies to promote student success This position provides an engaging schedule with regular full-time hours (8 hours/day) and the rewarding experience of contributing to student growth in a vibrant academic community.
