Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Your passion for patient-centered care and evidence-based practice will drive meaningful improvements in the lives of those you serve. 1099-contract position Duties Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans focused on improving daily living activities (ADLs), motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence. Assist patients with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote autonomy. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers—to coordinate care and optimize outcomes. Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulations. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and caregiver training. Provide specialized interventions for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, or disabilities across pediatric and adult populations. Engage in case management activities to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical interprofessional collaboration to develop evidence-based occupational therapy programs aligned with best practices. Support early intervention initiatives and provide pediatric occupational therapy services in school or clinic environments. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; valid licensure or certification as required by state or country. Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings such as inpatient acute care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or schools. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards. Experience working with patients with neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders; familiarity with pediatric occupational therapy is highly desirable. Skilled in developing treatment plans focused on improving motor skills, sensory integration, ADLs, and functional independence. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management and medical documentation practices. Knowledge of evidence-based practice principles to guide clinical decision-making and intervention strategies. Demonstrated ability to assist with discharge planning and case management for diverse patient populations. Prior experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Strong understanding of occupational health principles applicable to workplace injury rehabilitation or post-acute care settings.
