is a therapist-owned company seeking a motivated Pediatric Occupational Therapist or COTA to provide school-based services for a school located in Broward County School . I am the owner of LJAFFE PLLC and have maintained a continuous contract with Broward County Schools for over 12 years with the Occupational Therapist/ Physical Therapist OT / PT contract . Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday (school hours)Setting:
School-based Responsibilities Conduct evaluations and screenings by occupational therapist Provide individual, small group, or in-class occupational therapy Occupational therapist Develop therapy plans and complete progress reports and treatment notes Maintain accurate attendance and service documentation Attend and participate in IEP and 504 meetings Complete eligibility and dismissal paperwork Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and related service providers Participate in RTI activities and approved District in-services Order adaptive equipment and consult with vendors as needed Supervise COTAs, if applicable Travel between school sites as required Qualifications Active Florida Occupational Therapy (OT) license - required School-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Occupational Therapists play a vital role in ensuring FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education) , helping students with disabilities succeed academically and prepare for independent living.
