Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding opportunity as an onsite Occupational Therapist serving students during a maternity leave assignment. This contract position spans from October 16, 2026, through December 18, 2026, and offers the chance to make a real impact over a concentrated period. You'll work three days per week, supporting students' growth and success within a collaborative school setting near Cross City, FL. Your expertise in school-based occupational therapy will enable you to assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions that foster student independence and participation. Whether your background includes healthcare, teletherapy, home health, or direct school experience, your adaptability and commitment to best practices will be embraced and valued in this onsite role.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current, valid Florida OT licensure Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations Familiarity with IEP development and documentation Skills in adapting therapy approaches for diverse learning needs Strong communication and report-writing abilities Flexibility and reliability for a short-term, part-time assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' functional and educational needs Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with student IEPs Track and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize support Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student success Maintain compliance with all regulations and ethical guidelines If you thrive in fast-paced, student-focused environments and enjoy guiding young individuals toward greater independence, this maternity leave OT role provides a unique opportunity to do just that—part-time, onsite, and in close partnership with educators.
