Role:

As an Occupational Therapist (OTR) in the healthcare and social assistance industry, you will play a critical role in helping individuals of all ages regain, develop, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. Your primary objective will be to assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities and design personalized therapeutic interventions that promote independence and improve quality of life. You will collaborate closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to set achievable goals and monitor progress. Minimum Qualifications:

A Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current and valid Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) certification. State licensure to practice occupational therapy in the United States. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or community clinics. Specialized certifications or training in areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, hand therapy, or neurological rehabilitation. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and therapy documentation software. Ability to speak multiple languages to better serve diverse patient populations. Continuing education or advanced coursework in emerging occupational therapy methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to determine their occupational therapy needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients' specific goals and challenges. Provide therapeutic interventions that may include exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve patients' functional abilities. Educate patients and their families on strategies to manage daily tasks and promote independence. Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, physical therapists, and social workers to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes. Document patient progress and update treatment plans accordingly to ensure effective therapy delivery. Stay current with best practices, emerging research, and regulatory requirements in occupational therapy.

Successful completion of a pre-employment background and reference check by an outside agency engaged by the company to conduct background checking, the results of which must meet our employment requirements. Depending on your assigned duties, work location, facility access, and applicable Florida requirements, you may also be required to complete an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Level 2 background screening is required you must maintain eligibility throughout your assignment.
