Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) specializing in clinic treatment and evaluations! In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to pediatric patients, helping children develop essential skills for daily living and participation across various settings. Your expertise will support children with diverse needs, including those with autism, disabilities, or recovering from injury or illness. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives through innovative therapy techniques and collaborative care planning. Duties Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients to identify developmental delays, sensory processing issues, and functional impairments. Develop personalized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs, goals, and family circumstances. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions focused on enhancing fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care activities (ADLs), and overall functional independence. Assist children with activities related to daily living skills such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and other self-care routines. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive treatment approaches and effective discharge planning. Provide education and training to families on strategies to support their child's development at home and in school environments. Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and case management activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in case management meetings and contribute to the coordination of care across inpatient, outpatient, school-based, home health, or skilled nursing facility settings. Qualifications Valid Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed (OTR/L) credential with pediatric specialization. Proven experience working with children in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics, schools, early intervention programs, or inpatient facilities. Knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and developmental milestones. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), disabilities, or post-acute care needs. Familiarity with assistive devices and adaptive equipment used in therapy sessions. Strong skills in discharge planning, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to work effectively with children across diverse age groups including infants through adolescents. Prior experience in acute care environments such as ICU or inpatient units is a plus; home health or skilled nursing facility experience is also valued. Excellent communication skills for engaging families and multidisciplinary team members; proficiency in speech therapy or related fields is advantageous. $60.00 - $90.00 per hour
