This position is ideal for a clinician who values clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to provide meaningful therapy in children's natural environments while receiving ongoing mentorship and support from a specialized feeding team. As a home- and community-based therapist, you will partner closely with caregivers and other professionals to help children develop the functional skills needed for success during daily routines. Treatment focuses on sensory integration, vestibular and proprioceptive regulation, oral-motor and feeding development, food aversions, texture progression, motor planning, body awareness, balance, coordination, self-feeding skills, fine and gross motor development, proper mealtime positioning, and functional independence. You will serve infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of developmental and medical diagnoses, including sensory processing differences, developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, tethered oral tissues, failure to thrive, and other neurological or developmental conditions. Key Responsibilities Specialized Clinical Services Provide individualized occupational therapy evaluations and treatment in children's natural environments, including homes, daycares, preschools, ABA clinics, and other community settings throughout the Greater Jacksonville area. Deliver evidence-informed interventions that support sensory processing, feeding, oral-motor development, self-regulation, fine and gross motor skills, and functional independence. Comprehensive Evaluations Complete thorough occupational therapy evaluations using standardized assessments and clinical observations. Individualized Treatment Planning Develop personalized goals and treatment plans based on each child's strengths and family priorities. Design home programs targeting sensory regulation, feeding progression, visual-motor integration, executive functioning, self-care, play, and motor development. Family Coaching & Collaboration Educate and coach caregivers, teachers, and other providers to promote carryover of therapeutic strategies across daily routines. Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to support consistent, functional outcomes. Clinical Collaboration Participate in paid quarterly clinical roundtable meetings focused on case consultation, current research, best practices, and collaborative problem-solving. Documentation Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation, including evaluations, daily SOAP notes, progress reports, and plan-of-care updates using the practice's electronic medical record (EMR) system. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Licensure Active Florida Occupational Therapist license. NBCOT certification in good standing. Experience Pediatric occupational therapy experience required. Experience in pediatric feeding and oral-motor therapy preferred. Formal training in pediatric feeding approaches such as Beckman Oral Motor, Feed the Peds®, SOS Approach to Feeding®, AEIOU, or comparable continuing education is highly preferred. Transportation Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current automobile insurance. Ability to travel throughout an assigned geographic service area within Duval, St. Johns, Clay, and Nassau Counties.
