Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Occupational Therapist with a minimum of three (3) years of orthopedic outpatient experience to join our growing orthopedic practice. This position focuses on the evaluation and treatment of patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity injuries and conditions. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with our fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeons, physician assistants, and clinical staff to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care that maximizes function and promotes optimal recovery. Qualifications Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the State of Florida Minimum of three (3) years of outpatient orthopedic experience required Experience treating hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity conditions preferred Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification preferred but not required Current BLS certification Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team Essential Responsibilities Evaluate patients with upper extremity orthopedic injuries and conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician protocols and patient goals.

Provide skilled therapeutic interventions including:

Therapeutic exercise Manual therapy Neuromuscular re-education Scar management Edema control Desensitization techniques Range of motion and strengthening programs Fabricate and fit custom orthoses and splints for postoperative and nonsurgical patients. Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnosis, home exercise programs, splint care, activity modification, and injury prevention. Collaborate closely with orthopedic hand surgeons and physician assistants regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records. Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as appropriate. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical education opportunities. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, and payer documentation requirements.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Trigger Finger De Quervain's Tenosynovitis Distal Radius Fractures Metacarpal and Phalangeal Fractures Tendon Repairs Nerve Injuries Ligament Injuries Arthritis of the Hand and Wrist TFCC Injuries Elbow Tendinopathies Post-operative rehabilitation following hand and wrist surgery Skills Custom orthotic fabrication Splint adjustments and patient education Upper extremity rehabilitation Manual therapy techniques Strong clinical decision-making abilities Excellent patient education skills Ability to manage an independent patient schedule efficiently Strong teamwork and communication skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and manual dexterity. Ability to perform repetitive upper extremity movements required for splint fabrication and manual therapy.

Pay:

$37.00 - $45.00 per hour
