Job Description

Therapist Owned Company Meaningful Intervention is partnering with Integral Partnerships to support families in the Davenport, Championsgate, Winter Garden, Kissimme, and Avon Park location. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. School-based occupational therapists help students access the school environment and participate in their education by addressing physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and sensory challenges. They focus on areas like fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, social skills, vocational skills, and self-care. OTs also collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment We have private practice positions available along with school contracts. New Grads encouraged to apply!
Duties Assessment and Evaluation:
OTs evaluate students' needs and abilities in various areas like fine motor skills, sensory processing, and social skills.
Intervention and Therapy:
They develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address specific challenges and improve functional skills.
Collaboration:
OTs work closely with educators, parents, and other specialists to create a coordinated support system for the student.
Consultation and Training:
They provide consultation and training to teachers and other staff members on strategies to support students' learning and participation.
Documentation and Reporting:
OTs maintain detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
Environmental Modifications:
They may recommend modifications to the school environment to enhance student accessibility and participation. Qualifications Valid Occupational Therapist license Strong patient care skills and knowledge of anatomy and physiology Proficient in medical terminology and care planning Experience in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and discharge planning Background in acute care, geriatrics, and working with individuals with disabilities Familiarity with early intervention and outpatient settings, including school and home health environments Join us in making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve through effective speech-language therapy! www.integralpartnerships.com
