Seeking an Experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist Gabriel Therapy Group is seeking a skilled and clinically independent Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Maitland team. We are seeking a clinician with experience treating a wide range of pediatric conditions, including neurological and genetic based diagnoses, who thrives in a collaborative environment, is confident in their clinical judgement and is dedicated to helping children and families succeed. We are looking for a clinician that is wanting independence in their role, flexibility, and an opportunity for growth within the company to support the growth/development of the OT department in our Maitland office. We want a strong collaborator, team player, desires educating other disciplines/parents on therapeutic goals, and desires leadership opportunities for overseeing students and assistants. The ideal candidate is experienced and comfortable with: Pediatric neurological differences/disorders (ADHD, ASD, CP, Apraxia of Speech, seizure disorders, and various disorders resulting in complex communication needs) Genetic disorders resulting in complex needs and problem solving Sensory-based feeding disorders Learning differences/disabilities in executive functioning writing, attention, or processing Parent coaching and caregiver education Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Interest in overseeing students and COTA supervision opportunities If you are seeking a fun environment with a company that values integrity, trust, collaboration , and empowers you to grow professionally and personally, we would love to meet you. Occupational Therapist - Summary of Responsibilities Evaluate, analyze, and interpret assessment results to create individualized plans of care that improve clients' functional skills and quality of life Provide engaging, age-appropriate therapy sessions that build connection while targeting meaningful goals Treat a pediatric caseload within the scope of practice for Occupational Therapists. Collaborate regularly with physicians, related professionals, caregivers, and families to support carryover and continuity of care Adjust therapy plans as needed based on client progress and response to intervention Provide parent coaching and caregiver education to support functional progress at home Recommend and implement appropriate strategies, supports, and assistive technology Complete documentation in a timely manner Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA standards Maintain a safe and clean working environment while complying with all policies and procedures Participate in continuing education and demonstrate commitment to clinical growth and evidence-based practice Foster a positive team culture through collaboration, communication, and professionalism Knowledge and Skills Strong clinical experience with pediatric neurological disorders, genetic disorders and developmental differences Experience with sensory-based feeding disorders Confidence in OT assessment, treatment implementation, and caregiver training Understanding of typical and atypical pediatric development Strong parent coaching and family education skills Ability to collaborate effectively with families and interdisciplinary professionals Knowledge of Occupational Therapy regulations and professional practice standards Ability to navigate electronic medical records systems for documentation and schedule along with proficiency in microsoft office suite Qualifications Active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Florida Experience working primarily with the pediatric population Preferred experience with neurological disorders, genetic disorders, and pediatric feeding Participation in continuing education in pediatric therapy Interest in future mentorship and supervision opportunities preferred
