Job Description

Community Health and Rehab is home to a state of the art therapy gym and is looking to add an Occupational Therapist to our Amazing Team!
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program with an active license in good standing for the state of Florida Must Be NBCOT Certified Must be competent in communication and organizational skills and have common working knowledge of all rules, laws, and regulations as it pertains to occupational therapy Have the ability to implement occupational therapy programs, goals and objectives needed within the department Must have a friendly, courteous, and respectful demenor, with the ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations related to the well-being of our residents and and their families Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry 40 pounds
Experience:
One year experience in a long- term care setting preferred but not required Job Duties include but are not limited to the following: Assess functional levels and capabilities of residents, as well as conduct ongoing assessments of resident's needs and make reccommendations related to therapy treatments Provide occupational therapy treatments by following the resident plan of care, as well as develop goals for activities of daily living, which are measurable and realistic Thoroughly documents treatment progress in an acurate and timely manner, in accordance with laws, regulations, and facility guidelines Provides exellenct customer service and a positive working relationship with residents and families Assists with transporting residents to and from therapy Responsible for Scheduling appointments, taking calls, completing insurance forms Preforms overall supervision to OTAs and rehab aides to ensure quality rehab care

From $40.00 per hour
