Role:
Argan Home Care is looking for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team in Port Charlotte, FL and surrounding areas. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference by helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life — right in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for home care patients Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' functional independence Provide therapeutic interventions targeting ADLs, fine motor skills, cognitive function, and home safety Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care team members to coordinate patient care Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and home modification strategies Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:
Valid Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master's or Doctoral degree preferred) NBCOT certification required Home health or home care experience preferred Strong knowledge of Medicare home health guidelines and documentation requirements Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for home visits in the Port Charlotte area Excellent communication, time management, and patient-centered care skills
