Our Hand & Occupational Therapy department is a strong and growing team of Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) who deliver top-notch care for patients with complex orthopaedic injuries and conditions. Working closely with our nationally recognized Hand and Upper Extremity surgeons, you'll have the opportunity to advance your clinical skills, collaborate with experts, and provide life-changing therapy services. We are ready. Are you? What You'll Do As an Occupational Therapist specializing in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, you will: Evaluate and manage therapy patients, including identifying functional limitations and setting treatment goals Develop and implement individualized therapy plans of care Deliver hands-on treatments and advanced therapeutic interventions Fabricate and fit custom splints and orthoses Coordinate patient care with physicians, PTs, PTAs, and other members of the therapy team Document patient evaluations, progress, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with clinical standards Provide patient and family education on injury, recovery expectations, and home exercise programs Collaborate in community education and research opportunities to advance occupational therapy practice Provide additional coverage at FOI locations as needed About You We're looking for a dedicated and skilled OT who is passionate about hand therapy, orthopaedics, and patient rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Certified by NBCOT as an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) Licensed by the state of Florida Current CPR certification Strong splinting skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced outpatient setting Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting in close collaboration with hand surgeons Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or actively working toward certification within the next year WebPT or other EMR experience At least 6 months of focused hand therapy experience Ready to take the next step in your Occupational Therapy career?
