Job Description

JOB DETAILS
This outpatient pediatric Occupational Therapist opportunity is located in beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida, a coastal city known for its vibrant waterfront, year-round sunshine, and welcoming community. West Palm Beach offers a blend of stunning beaches, family-friendly attractions, and cultural experiences, making it a great place to spend your next assignment. From the scenic Intracoastal Waterway and nearby Atlantic beaches to the lively Clematis Street and Rosemary Square, you'll find endless options for dining, shopping, and entertainment after your workday. The area is known for its palm-lined streets, walkable downtown, and easy access to parks, zoos, and museums. Popular nearby attractions include the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society and the Cox Science Center & Aquarium, both ideal for weekend exploration. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy water sports, bike paths, and nature trails, while those who love the arts will appreciate local galleries, theaters, and cultural events. In this role, you will work in an outpatient pediatric setting focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to children and their families. You will be responsible for completing comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions that support functional gains in daily activities, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and participation at home, school, and in the community. Collaboration with families, caregivers, and other members of the care team is central to the role. A typical day may include conducting new patient evaluations, providing one-on-one treatment sessions, documenting progress and outcomes, updating goals, and coordinating care with physicians, speech therapists, physical therapists, and other professionals. You can expect a caseload composed primarily of pediatric patients with a variety of developmental and neurological conditions. Patient ratios are designed to allow focused, individualized care and strong family engagement. This is a 13-week Temp Direct contract with a start date as soon as possible. The schedule is 5 eight-hour day shifts, for a total of 40 hours per week, with a weekly billing and pay cycle. The position does not require on-call coverage. The facility supports a collaborative and professional environment where therapists can practice at the top of their license, refine specialized pediatric skills, and contribute meaningfully to children's developmental progress. West Palm Beach offers a balance of professional opportunity and lifestyle appeal, with a coastal climate, easy access to beaches, and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. It is a strong choice for therapists seeking to build their outpatient pediatric experience while enjoying a destination known for sunshine, recreation, and a growing healthcare community.
