Blazer Jobs is partnering with local school districts to hire a compassionate and skilled OT who is dedicated to helping students develop the functional skills needed for success in the classroom and beyond. About the
Role:
This school-based OT role focuses on supporting students with fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and daily living skill needs. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and families to help students access their education and meet individualized goals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy Active Florida Occupational Therapist license Florida Department of Education certification or eligibility as required NBCOT certification preferred Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting Strong communication, evaluation, and collaboration skills
Job Duties:
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals Provide direct and consultative OT services to students Address fine motor, sensory, and functional school-based needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports Participate in IEP meetings and eligibility determinations
