Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid Florida Occupational Therapy license, plus up-to-date school-based credentials Experience in school settings, pediatric, home health, or broader healthcare environments Demonstrated history of providing tailored therapy for children or youth Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt and innovate within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students, addressing both individual education plans and broader school needs Develop and implement therapeutic goals to promote student participation in school routines and activities Partner with teachers, parents, and related staff to create the most accessible, enriching learning environment possible Conduct assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings Provide training and resources to staff and families for carryover of strategies in various settings
