Job Description

Overview Exciting Opportunity for a Occupational Therapist at Brave Kidz! Brave Kidz is thrilled to announce an opening for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing team! We are seeking a licensed professional to provide exceptional care at our soon-to-open medical daycare in North Tampa. This position involves delivering therapy services at a PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care) center, serving medically fragile children from birth to 21 years old.
Diagnoses may include:
Cerebral palsy Genetic conditions Prematurity Sensory processing challenges Developmental delays
What We're Offering:
Flexible hours: Full-time or part-time (35-40 hours/week) Occupational Therapist (Full Time/Part-Time) Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate patients' functional abilities, including fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and activities of daily living (ADLs) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving independence and quality of life Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance fine motor development, sensory integration, feeding skills, and cognitive functioning Utilize evidence-based techniques to support developmental milestones and functional outcomes Educate families and caregivers on home programs, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support ongoing progress Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards Key Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles, including sensory integration and developmental milestones Experience working with medically fragile or pediatric populations preferred Ability to create engaging, child-centered therapy sessions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and clinical teams Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Required Licenses / Certifications Active Occupational Therapy license (Florida) CPR Certification (preferred)
