Occupational Therapist Little Giant Pediatrics Tampa, FL Job Details Part-time 18 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork Doctoral degree BLS Certification Working with pediatric populations Occupational Therapy Pediatrics Child & youth therapy Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description PRN Occupational Therapist Job Overview We are seeking to contract a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Little Giant Pediatrics, a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center, work as an independent contractor and be able to make their own schedule according to their availability. Occupational Therapist works with children who face developmental, physical, and emotional challenges, using various interventions such as sensory integration therapy and skill-building exercises to improve their fine motor skills, cognitive processing, and social-emotional development. The duties of the Occupational Therapist are carried out in accordance with all professional, state, and federal requirements. Responsibilities Conduct assessments to determine patient therapy needs. Develop a treatment plan with defined goals and clear stages. Teach patient and caregivers how to use equipment selected for their support. Provide personalized therapy sessions based on patient needs. Monitor patient progress to ensure goals are being met and adjust treatment plan as necessary. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and caregivers/parents. Provide advice to parents or caregivers about at-home care. Answer patient and caregiver questions about a patient's condition. Document patient visits and treatments in a timely manner. Qualifications Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Current Florida licensure as a Occupational Therapist (OT) CPR certification (PALS preferred) Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably medically complex children Strong communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of developmental milestones and pediatric therapy techniques Familiarity with PPEC or similar pediatric care settings is a plus Join our team and contribute to making a positive impact on the lives of our residents through compassionate leadership and exceptional nursing practices.
