Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to identify their unique needs and develop personalized care plans. Implement therapeutic interventions focused on enhancing motor skills, sensory processing, self-care activities (ADLs), and functional independence. Assist children with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other developmental delays in achieving developmental milestones. Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare providers to coordinate care and support discharge planning processes. Support early intervention programs by providing therapy services to infants and toddlers in home or clinic settings. Manage case documentation meticulously, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care across inpatient, outpatient, school-based, and post-acute care environments. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist specializing in pediatrics. Proven experience working with children in diverse settings such as clinics, schools, inpatient units (including ICU experience), skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric development principles. Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), discharge planning, and case management for pediatric patients. Familiarity with working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities. Ability to adapt therapy techniques for acute care settings and outpatient clinics effectively.
