Position Overview New Heights Academy is seeking a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide services within a pediatric outpatient clinic and private school setting in Alpharetta, Georgia. This is an initial one-year contract position with the opportunity to continue on an ongoing basis. The clinic and school are located conveniently near one another. Both experienced occupational therapists and qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply. The Occupational Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, speech therapists, educators, and other pediatric professionals. The selected therapist will provide evidence-based, family-centered, and academically supportive care to a diverse pediatric population. Key Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy evaluations using appropriate pediatric standardized assessment tools Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's functional, developmental, sensory, motor, and academic needs Provide occupational therapy services in both outpatient clinic and school environments Support fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, classroom participation, and functional independence Monitor client and student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Maintain accurate and timely clinical and educational documentation Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary team members Provide recommendations to support children across clinical, home, and academic environments Participate in care coordination and educational planning when appropriate Follow all applicable professional, ethical, clinical, and school-based standards Qualifications Active Occupational Therapist license in the State of Georgia Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Clinical experience working with pediatric clients preferred Familiarity with pediatric standardized assessment and measurement tools Ability to provide services in both clinical and academic environments Strong communication, documentation, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team New graduates who meet Georgia licensing requirements are welcome to apply Preferred Qualifications Previous pediatric outpatient or school-based occupational therapy experience Experience collaborating with educators and families Current CPR certification Experience supporting children with a range of developmental, sensory, motor, and academic needs The ideal candidate is: Dependable and committed to providing consistent care People-oriented and comfortable working collaboratively Adaptable in a fast-paced pediatric environment Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills Creative and willing to develop engaging treatment activities Comfortable working independently with appropriate clinical support Motivated by helping children reach meaningful developmental and functional goals Work Environment This position is fully on-site and will provide services in both the pediatric outpatient clinic and private school.
